Dillon Powder Checker System Installation Instructions: Remove the OEM factory powder checker retaining bracket and screw. Insert the screw into the spring and slide the assembly into the quick disconnect body. Applying a light drop of blue thread locker on the screw is recommended. Place the quick disconnect assembly where the factory OEM retainer was. Tighten the screw while looking inside the top of the powder checker die. You want to pay attention to the bolt and stop tightening it just before in protrudes the wall of the die into the center. If you screw it in too far and it protrudes into the die, back it out until it is flush. If your springs get locked up and don't move properly, try tightening/loosening the bolts or remove and reinstall until they no longer bind. Once you have the bolts and springs installed and there is no binding, it will stay that way. Reassemble powder checker case fill rod. If the powder alarm does not install smoothly, check to make sure the screw is not installed too deep and interfering with the die body.

Insert each screw into a spring and slide both assemblies into the quick disconnect body. Applying a light drop of blue thread locker on the screw is recommended. Place the quick disconnect assembly where the factory OEM retainer was. Both bolts should be screwed in until they are flush or slightly proud of the quick disconnect body. Setting the bolts too deep will not let the quick disconnect retract enough to remove the powder measure and can permanently compress the springs. If your springs get locked up and don't move properly, try tightening/loosening the bolts or remove and reinstall until they no longer bind. Once you have the bolts and springs installed and there is no binding, it will stay that way. Older model powder measures that use lock nuts are compatible with little modification or longer replacement bolts.
Warning: Some sellers are making a 3D printed plastic version of this part, we feel this is a very bad idea, as the forces generated to actuate your powder measure will damage this plastic collar. It is not safe or smart to risk incomplete powder charges on cheaper plastic parts. Dillon loves to use plastic parts, if they could have in this case, they would have.
